Tiny Steps

Well, it is a little after 6PM and she is breathing well. So far today, she has been able to eat ice chips, drink from a cup, sip through a straw and also take a couple of pills. We do have a small issue with heart rate, which is at 160 right now, but medication is being used to bring it down slowly. This was probably caused by an imbalance in fluid level in her system.

Hopefully she will get a MUCH NEEDED night of sleep. There has been no sleep today, and last night had little, if any. Sleep goes a long way to healing. Which brings me to a pre-factoid: You can live a lot longer without food than you can without sleep.

March Madness factoid: UConn coach Jim Calhoun was previously a headstone engraver and gravedigger. He also worked in a shampoo factory
