Round 2 - Day 4 and 5

Sorry for combining the two days, but getting to work late everyday is taking it's toll on me and it is hard to get everything done, especially being as tired as I am. Thursday went fine - had to get poked twice because one of my veins did not want to cooperate, but it is still better than those shots. I complained again about not being able to get good contiguous sleep and they gave me a prescription for Ambien (I already have some), but this is the kind with a slow release throughout the evening to help you stay asleep. I tried it last night and was able to sleep until 2:30am. I probably could have done better if I didn't have the IV in my arm. So I will continue to try it throughout the weekend and see if I can get some better sleep. Today went fine, just the usual "drip" and then off to work. The IV has been taken out and I am now free for 3 weeks. I still have to go once a week and get my blood checked, but that is a lot better than having to go every day. I just pray for no blood transfusions. I don't have time for that!!! The doctor told me at the beginning of these treatments that I would feel a lot worse before I start feeling better. Well, she is right because I am TIRED. I hope all of those bad cells are getting killed and I will get some energy soon! So, that is all for now!

Have a nice weekend!

Round 2 - Day 3

Pretty uneventful.  I was allowed to go by myself again today (I guess Sam must have been OK with my solo act yesterday).  Took my Chemo and had my IV taken out.  I am kind of glad to have a break from the IV for the day.  They will put another one in tomorrow for Thursday and Friday.  Pretty simple with no problems - I am extremely tired!

Until tomorrow ------------

Round 2 - Day 2

All is well - My loving husband actually allowed me to go get my Chemo by myself this morning. This is only the second appointment he has missed with me since the beginning of this whole mess. And, believe it or not, I was actually able to handle it by myself. However, I will admit we were texting each other the whole time like a bunch of teenagers. With my IV already in, the procedure went extremely fast. My appt. Was at 8:30am and I was out of there at 9:25am and off to work. So far so good. I still like my afternoon naps and have very strange sleeping times/habits.

Until tomorrow ------

Round 2 - Day 1

Well, I just started my second round of chemotherapy.  As planned I was given this through an IV that they are going to leave in my arm this week (3 days and then a new IV for the last 2 days).  Everything went fine, my arm is wrapped and I am already at work.  UGH!  Hopefully all will go well the rest of the week - I will keep you posted on my progress.  Sure beats those nasty shots I received last month.

Have a good week!
