Received 2 units of blood yesterday, and that helped make her feel better, in that there are more red cells in her system to deliver oxygen. Also managed to drink a couple of Ensures to increase calorie and protein intake. Finally, we put her on the stretcher that turns into a wheel chair and toured 3 out of the 4 Pavillions on the 5th floor here. We ran into Cynthia, who is the primary Physical Therapist, and she was doing cartwheels after seeing Denise out and about. We will see her sometime this morning for additional PT.
Factoid: Abe Lincoln is the only president to hold a patent. He designed a buoying device to help ships in shallow waters, though it was never built.
